Legal notice and privacy notice
The full texts are on their own pages.
Status
MediaLink is a service by NextAppLab. Brand, domain, legal notice, privacy policy, terms of use, ad providers and hosting have not yet been finally reviewed legally.
Permitted use
Use the service only with your own content or content you have explicit permission for. Publicly visible content is not automatically free to use. Platform terms and copyright can restrict downloads further.
Processed data
The link you enter is passed to our server to read metadata and formats; our server, not your device, retrieves it from the platform. Prepared files and preview images can no longer be retrieved 30 minutes after a job is created: new requests are then refused, and a transfer that has already started is not interrupted. A cleanup run that happens every minute deletes the files afterwards and, if a deletion fails, tries again on the next run; the job data in memory expires after 32 minutes at the latest. Deletion happens in the file system and in memory, not by overwriting, and we do not promise a fixed deletion time. If the cleanup service fails, the files stay unavailable but are deleted only after it restarts. To retrieve the finished file, your browser connects directly to our download server, not through Cloudflare. There are no accounts and no analytics or advertising scripts. When you first check a link, your browser stores the cookie ml_sid with a random, pseudonymous session identifier (valid for 24 hours). It assigns your jobs to your browser and limits jobs and requests per session; the server keeps only a hash of it. Because it is linked to your jobs, we treat it as personal data. To deliver the page and protect against overload, Cloudflare and our server process technical connection data such as the IP address. Our server keeps the address only briefly in memory to limit requests and does not write it to its access log; the application itself stores no IP address. What Cloudflare itself processes is governed by its own terms. The privacy notice has all the details.
