Platform test status
These values come from the central support status file. “Partly checked” means metadata and one real download are proven, but not every check. “Untested” means no real download has been proven yet.

In three steps
From the clipboard to the file.
The flow stays deliberately short. You decide at every step.
Copy the link
Copy the address of a single public video, short, reel, Twitch clip, photo or carousel.
Have it checked
Paste the link and start the check. We show only the formats and media the source actually reports.
Download it yourself
For videos you pick a format, for photos and carousels an element. After preparation you start the file download with your own click.
Common questions
Short and honest.
Which links are supported?
The service covers single public YouTube videos and shorts, TikTok videos, Instagram reels, single videos, photos and carousels, Facebook videos and reels, and single Pinterest image and video pins. It also recognises links to posts on X (Twitter), Reddit videos, Vimeo, Dailymotion and Twitch clips. Profiles, boards, playlists, livestreams, stories and whole accounts are not part of MediaLink. Not every combination is proven live yet.
What does it cost?
The core flow is free and needs no account. Advertising is currently off; there is no mandatory advertising, no countdowns and no click barriers.
Where does my file end up?
Prepared files sit outside the public web directory on our server. They can no longer be retrieved after 30 minutes at the latest and are deleted by the cleanup service afterwards – also after errors or a cancellation. There is no permanent media library.
May I download any public video?
No. Public visibility is not permission. Download only your own content or content you have explicit permission for. Platform terms and copyright apply as well.
Why does a link not work?
The source may require a sign-in, be restricted or no longer be available. Platforms also change their interfaces regularly. We name the reason neutrally and offer a sensible next step; private posts are not bypassed and DRM is not unlocked.
Which quality do I get?
Only resolutions and containers the source actually reports. Unknown file sizes are shown as unknown. Nothing is upscaled and no original quality is invented. Watermarks are not removed.
What has been tested live?
The test status is documented in docs/feasibility-report.md and in the support status file. A platform only counts as proven locally once metadata retrieval, a real download and a playback check succeeded for a permitted test case.
Do I need ads or tracking?
No. The core flow works without ads and with ad scripts blocked. In preview mode only labelled placeholders are rendered; no real ad networks are integrated.
